Singer-guitarist-composer Steve Denney, now an established presence on the East Coast music scene, is originally from San Antonio and spent many years on the red-hot South Texas blues / rock / jazz / R&B circuit.
Steve's playing and singing mix all of his diverse influences - blues, jazz, Tex-Mex, country, rock & roll, Texas swing - into the musical gumbo. Equally comfortable belting out a sizzling Texas-style blues, or picking his way through an intricate jazz standard, this seasoned veteran of the stage and studio shows his professionalism and years of experience every time he takes the stage.

Since relocating to Boston in 1997, this versatile musician has played with many of the area's notable performers, and gained acclaim and notoriety from fans and musicians alike for his soulful sound and eclectic approach. Steve can be seen regularly performing all over New England, most recently with Cooler By the Coast, an acoustic / electric trio with guitarist Rick Clerici and bassist Bob McGrath.

You might also have seen Steve performing over the past few years with the band Splash of Blues, with dynamic singer / guitarist Michele Rockwell. Steve is also a founding member of The Steve DiCecco Band (finalists in the Boston Blues Society's 2006 and 2003 Blues Challenges). The Steve DiCecco Band was featured in this cover story for the Boston Blues News magazine.
